Following the divestment of part of Babcock’s civil training business, Inspiro needed a brand that would guide their team and clients into a new era as an independent business. With a legacy in apprenticeships and technical training since 1993, they required an identity that reflected their expertise while shedding the corporate formality of their past.

The challenge

The new brand had to be fresh, approachable, and inspiring while maintaining credibility as one of the UK’s largest independent work-based training providers. It needed to engage both internal teams and external audiences, ensuring a seamless transition from its previous identity. With a tight deadline, the challenge was to create a brand that could be implemented quickly while remaining impactful and flexible across different media.

The solution

We developed a strategic approach that included research, competitor analysis, and naming strategy before moving into brand development. The name Inspiro was chosen to convey ambition and possibility, with the strapline Imagine more acting as both an instruction and a guiding principle for the business.

Visual and brand assets

A comprehensive set of brand guidelines was created alongside a suite of interchangeable photographic and illustrative assets. These elements ensured consistency across all communications while allowing flexibility for various applications. Working templates and branded assets followed, making it easy for the internal team to implement the new brand from day one.
